Japan culture
Venkatesan came as an ambassador for his class to showcase the various projects they did during the lesson. He proudly showcased the origami bookmarks and the ‘furoshiki’ bags made from cloth. He also shared the impact of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima from the perspective of a child named Sadoka Sasaki who made origam cranes to spread the word of peace around the world. His work showed that indeed children inspire the world.

Energy from Salt water
Saltwater, seemingly ordinary, harbors immense potential for renewable energy. Stanford researchers have pioneered an affordable, durable technology to tap into this “blue energy.” When salty ocean water and freshwater mix, they create a salinity gradient—a source of power. The battery developed captures this energy without membranes or moving parts. Coastal wastewater treatment plants, energy-intensive and vulnerable to blackouts, could become self-sufficient using this innovation. .

Aquaponics
This project is an innovative aquaponics system. It purifies water for a fish tank, then recycles the fish waste water to nourish plants. The plants, in turn, filter the water, which is returned to the fish tank. This creates a sustainable, continuous cycle of water usage and purification, benefiting both aquatic and plant life. It’s a brilliant example of a self-sustaining ecosystem.
